I started this website when I was 12 years old as part of a homeschool class combining web design and english. Much to my mother's dismay, I'm a high school senior now, looking at colleges all over the country. I love books now as much as I did when I was younger and keep up this website to introduce middle school students to the books that meant so much to me when I was younger and to review great new tween books when they come along.

I really enjoy going to used bookstores, both in my home town and when my family travels. My favorites are Green Apple Books in San Francisco, Nine Lives in San Antonio, the Strand in Manhattan and Powell's in Portland. They all have a great selection of teen/tween books. I really like Nine Lives because when I first went there, a cat was napping on top of Golf for Dummies! One of the first things I try to do when visiting a new city is find their best used book stores. A city with great used book stores is a great city as far as I'm concerned.

Books can take you anywhere, any time. They erase boundaries and expand possibilities. I hope you have the chance to read a few of the books reviewed here -- there are plenty of every type for every interest. And if you like, write your own review of any tween book and submit it for publication on TWEEN BOOK REVIEWS.
